The Dolica CX730B105 is our tallest carbon fiber tripod at 73" when center column fully extended. This is also our upgraded tripod from the AX730P105 (73" aluminum pan head tripod). At 73" this tripod is an extra large tripod suitable for tall people above 6 feet in height. We have tried this tripod with photographers that are 6'6" and its will work very well. Everything about this tripod is upgraded with thicker carbon fiber legs measuring over an inch in diameter and self tightengning legs locks with allen key screws that you can tighten if they get loosened with use. This is an exellent tripod for heavy cameras, astro-binculars, or anything heavy since it weight limit is 22lbs when evenly balanced.
The Dolica CX730B105 ballhead is also upgraded as well. This is our extra large ballhead made of aluminum alloy. at its base it measures over 2 inches wide in diameter. Rubberized pan tilt lock knobs also add the the comfort of the ballhead. Upgraded as well is a seperate large knob to control the friction on the tilt of the ballhead. This is advantageous so you can dial in the amount of drag on the ballhead for difference camera weights as so you can move the ballhead with less or more force. This is helpfull for finetuning the position of the camera so you can move it in position with little force.
Also included with the Dolica CX730B105 are many standard features of our professional series tripods such as comfort foam leg grips, expandable counter-weight center column hood, reversible center column for low-angle shots, retractable spike/ rubber foot for indoor and outdoor applications, 3 position multi-angle leg locks.
Included wtih every Dolica Tripod is a nylon carrying case. This case is padded and also included a internal pocket that houses the allen key tool and instruction manual.
* The ballhead on the Dolica CX730B105 is removable and uses a 3/8" mounting screw that is standard with all heads.

Best addition to my gear

First of all, I am 6' 6" tall and have had some rather extensive neck surgery. I was looking for a tall tripod when I came across the Proline 73" carbon fiber model. I ordered it and when it arrived, I was amazed at its sturdiness and excellent construction. I discovered the 73" was with the center column lowered. The legs have notched contact points for three positions of splay. and can be adjusted independently of each other. It is rated to hold 22 pounds. The notched ball head is spot on. Flipped 90 degrees is perfect. The level is rather small but accurate. This tripod is so sturdy and has many adjustments to allow you the very best of tripod shooting. It came with 2 mounting plates and a very well constructed, padded shoulder strap, carrying bag complete with adjusting wrenches for the legs should you ever need to tighten the clamps.
